I remember it was almost 15 years ago when I first listened to his songs and was attracted to the very special voice. So I feel really great that I got to see himself in a live show.
His voice is still unique. And yet he was teaching me how to do a better SEO, which has been my job and life for over 7 years.
The lesson was, Know your audience.
The show went perfectly well since the beginning. This middle-aged yet good-looking guy owned the whole Opera House. He went off stage and disappeared and let his band play some random music so that we would not fall asleep. And suddenly Michael showed in the middle of audience seats and started to sing When a man loves a woman. The whole house went crazy. And the show reached its summit.
So, Michael knew his appearance in the middle of the crowd will stir up and he knew that song was the most beloved one. The former comes from experience and the later, I'm afraid, comes from sales record.
And here's my two cents for SEOers: find out what your audiences like and present it. We can know what our audiences like using Analytics tool and, of course, sales record.
- Using Google's Analytics we may easily know where our visitors come and go, and we go whereever they go!
- Monitoring our conversion table we may find out which pages/products converts best, and we put more values on those pages and offer package deal of the best-sellers.
- Using social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, we may know what the buzzes are.
The show was really amazing. And I got not only music.
